Whiteway is a bit over an hour from St. John's. The Shag Rock is a famous landmark. The large triple-horned rock, (at the top of the page with the iceberg) jutting sharply out of the water near shore, is called the "Shipwrecker" and is a reminder of the dangers of the sea.

The Cottage	Located within easy driving distance are three of the most unique and beautiful ecological reserves in the world, a bird watcher's paradise. Witless Bay offers the largest Puffin colony, along with iceberg and whale watching. Cape St. Mary shows thousands of nesting gannets and murres. Baccalieu Island is the largest seabird island in Newfoundland and Labrador. The island supports the greatest diversity of breeding seabirds of any of our seabird colonies. More Leach's Storm Petrels breed here than anywhere else in the world.
Cottage from Front	Secluded Look-Out
The secluded look-out behind the cottage looks over the ocean and the Winterton landmark, Shag Rock, which is featured on the heading of the Blueberry Hill B&B website. The natural look-out is a delighful bonus!
The view from the deck of the cottage is spectacular! Watch for whales playing and breaching in the ocean. The spray from their blow-holes as they come up for air, rises like a geyser and shows you just where to point your camera for your perfect shot of these magnificent animals in their natural habitat! Cottage Bedroom	The cottage has three bedrooms, two rooms with double beds and one room with two single bunk beds. It has a livingroom/ diningroom area, full kitchen, four-piece bathroom. The cottage is provided with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, microwave, coffee-maker, electric kettle, cable TV/VCR, radio, linens, towels, propane BBQ, patio furniture and anything else you might require for daily use.

Rates
1 - 2 people = $99 per night; per week $650
3 - 4 people in the same party = $149 per night; per week $970

Well behaved pets: Cleaning fee $25 per stay

Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 13% is not included.

Policies
For shorter stays, payment in full is required at the time of booking by credit card
For weekly stays, 50% deposit is required at the time of booking by credit card.

A two night minimum stay is required. On long week-ends, a three night minimum stay is required.

We have a 30-day cancellation policy for our cottage. If cancelled outside the 30-day window, a full refund is given except for a $25 administration fee per night booked. If cancelled within the 30-day window, no refund unless we are able to re-book.

Check-in is at Blueberry Hill Bed and Breakfast in Cavendish, 1.2 km. from the cottage. Check-in is between 4 pm. - 7 pm. Check-out by 11 am. If need be, other times can be arranged.

Smoking is permitted outside only. A cleaning charge of $100 will be added to your credit card should there be any smoking during your stay in our cottages.
